
Southeast Area Plan Second Reading at City Council

On January 25, 2021, the Bend Planning Commission voted to forward the Southeast Area Plan, along with the corresponding amendments to the Comprehensive Plan and Development Code, with a recommendation to approve to the Bend City Council. This email includes the schedule for City Council review and adoption of the Southeast Area Plan.
March 17, 2021 – work session, 5:00 pm
The purpose of this meeting is for the city staff and project team to present the Southeast Area Plan and all related Comprehensive Plan and Development Code amendments to the City Council. The Council will have an opportunity to ask questions of city staff and the project team. No public testimony or comments will be taken during the work session. Anyone can view the work session through the City Council’s website.
April 7, 2021 – public hearing, 1st reading of adopting ordinance, 7:00 pm
The public hearing will be conducted during the City Council’s meeting on Wednesday, April 7, 2021. This meeting will start at 7pm. The final agenda for this meeting showing the order of items on the agenda will be available on the City’s website the week before on Friday, April 2, 2021. Public testimony will be accepted in writing before and oral testimony can be provided at the hearing. After the close of the public hearing, the City Council will be asked to conduct a first reading of the adopting ordinance. Anyone can view the public hearing through the City Council’s website.
April 21, 2021 – 2nd reading of adopting ordinance and Council vote, 7:00 pm
The City Council will conduct a 2nd reading of the adopting ordinance and vote to adopt during their regular meeting on April 21st. The meeting will start at 7pm. The final agenda for this meeting showing the order of items on the agenda will be available on the City’s website the week before on Friday, April 16, 2021. No public testimony will be accepted at this meeting. Anyone can view the meeting through the City Council’s website.
Please note that an additional meeting may be added if the City Council directs city staff to make any changes that would require an opportunity for the public to review and provide comments at a hearing.
